Stellar Virtual Earns Cognia Systems Accreditation

Jan. 10, 2025 – Stellar Virtual announced today that it has earned Cognia® Systems Accreditation. Cognia is a nonprofit organization that provides quality assurance for schools, school districts, and education service providers.

 “Accreditation, as conferred by the Cognia Global Accreditation Commission, provides Stellar Virtual a nationally recognized mark of quality for our school system,” shared CEO and Founder Dori Fenenbock. “It demonstrates to our community our commitment to excellence, our willingness to enact meaningful change based on evaluation and feedback, and our desire to be the best we can be on behalf of the students we serve.”

 Cognia recognizes schools and districts worldwide that meet rigorous standards focused on productive learning environments, equitable resource allocation, and effective leadership. To earn Cognia Systems Accreditation, a school system must submit to internal and external review. Earning accreditation from the Cognia Global Accreditation Commission means that the school system meets Cognia Performance Standards and maintains a commitment to continuous improvement. Schools and districts in good standing can maintain their accreditation for a six-year term.

Texas Virtual Schools Senior Da'Taeveyon Daniels Named 2024 QuestBridge Finalist

[Fort Worth, Texas] — Lone Star Virtual Academy senior Da'Taeveyon Daniels has been named a 2024 QuestBridge National College Match Finalist. Selected from over 25,000 applicants, Da'Taeveyon stands among the 7,288 finalists nationwide and is recognized for their exceptional academic achievements and dedication to community impact.

As a QuestBridge Finalist, Da'Taeveyon now has the opportunity to match with one of QuestBridge’s prestigious college partners and receive a full four-year scholarship valued at more than $325,000. This scholarship will cover tuition, room, board, and other essential expenses, enabling Da'Taeveyon to pursue his studies without financial barriers.

A passionate advocate for social justice, Da'Taeveyon serves as a director with Students Engaged in Advancing Texas (SEAT) and was recently honored as one of Teen Vogue's "20 Under 20." He plans to study sociology or political science with a long-term goal of attending law school to further his advocacy for equity and systemic change.
